Chapter 1

The sky is full of black smoke. A big house is burning in front of her eyes. Fire is eating everything walls, furniture, memories. The bright flames make the night glow like it’s day, but the air is heavy and dangerous

A woman stands near the house, her hands shaking. Her eyes are wide in shock, her lips are dry. In her arms, a newborn baby is crying loudly. He is just born ...his tiny body cold, his eyes shut tightly, his voice full of fear

Without thinking much, the woman takes the end of her saree and gently wraps it around the baby. Her hands are soft, but her touch is full of urgency. The moment her skin touches his tiny back, the baby slowly stops crying

It’s the first time someone touches him with care, the first time he feels warmth. The woman looks at the burning house once more. Her heart is breaking, but she turns away. She holds the baby close to her chest and starts running

Her bare feet hit the ground hard as she runs into the dark jungle. The trees are tall and the path is full of thorns, but she doesn’t stop. The wind is strong. Her saree flies behind her, and dry leaves crack under her feet. Her breath is loud, but her focus is clear... save the baby

Suddenly, she hears something behind her. Footsteps. Fast ones. Someone is following her. Her heart skips a beat, but she doesn’t turn around. She hugs the baby tighter and runs faster. Branches scratch her face, stones hurt her feet, but nothing matters

"Ham tumhe kuch nahi hone denge"

(I won't let anything happened to you)

The jungle is dark, scary, and full of danger. But she keeps moving. The baby is silent now, sleeping peacefully in her arms. He doesn’t know how many people want to kill him. He doesn’t know the danger around him

But she knows. And she doesn’t care about her life anymore. All she wants now is to protect this child. To keep him alive… even if it means losing everything The sharp rocks dig deeper into her bare feet with every desperate step

Blood stains the forest floor, mixing with dirt and dried leaves, but she doesn’t flinch. Her breath is ragged, her legs tremble, yet her grip on the newborn never loosens. The cold wind bites her skin, her torn saree flutters wildly behind her like a flag of rebellion but she doesn’t stop

Pain is just a shadow now; her only focus is survival. Suddenly, the eerie silence of the jungle is shattered by a terrifying sound the loud roar of a car engine, far too close. Her heart skips a beat.

Her eyes dart through the darkness, searching. Is it them? Are they here already? Panic grips her chest like a fist. She doesn’t wait to find out. Adrenaline explodes in her veins, and she bolts forward, ignoring the searing pain in her feet, the screaming in her lungs

Branches whip her arms, thorns tear at her skin, but then like a miracle the trees part. A grey ribbon of road stretches ahead under the pale moonlight. The highway. A way out. Her lips part, and for the first time in what feels like forever, a smile tugs at her face

She slows for a second and looks down at the baby in her arms. Gently, she pulls the edge of the cloth away from his face. He blinks up at her, his eyes a strange, stormy grey calm and innocent, unaware of the blood, the fire, the danger he was just born into

And then, softly, he smiles. A broken laugh escapes her lips, half sob, half relief. He’s alive.... He’s safe...For now. But the moment shatters as headlights slash through the trees a car is coming. Fast

Without thinking, she gathers all her remaining strength and sprints toward the road. Her feet slip on gravel, her breath catches, but she doesn’t stop. The car’s engine grows louder closer the wind from it rushes past her

She waves one hand wildly, clutching the baby with the other, her voice rising into the night, desperate and loud.

"Gaadi rokiye please"

(Stop the car please)

This is it ....her only chance to save him. One step...Then another. And then the blinding lights of the car catch her fully, freezing her in the middle of the road, as the world holds its breath

The tires screech loudly as several black cars come to a sudden stop, surrounding the woman from all sides. Bright headlights blind her for a moment, making the trees behind her disappear into shadows

Her heart pounds in her chest like a drum. She clutches something tightly against her chest, holding it as if her life depends on it. Her saree sticks to her skin, wet from sweat and blood, and her breath comes in sharp gasps. She looks around she’s trapped

From the biggest car, a door opens slowly. A tall man steps out. His face is calm, but not in a peaceful way calm like a quiet storm before it explodes. His eyes are cold, unreadable

He walks toward her slowly, each step heavy, making the ground beneath him feel tense. The woman stands her ground, her fingers still gripping the bundle close to her heart

Without saying a word, the man suddenly raises his hand and slaps her hard. The sound echoes in the night. Her head jerks to the side and she falls backward onto the rough road with a loud thud

The bundle in her arms slips away and rolls to the ground. Pain shoots through her body, but she doesn’t scream. She simply lies there, staring up at the sky. The man doesn’t even look at her. He kneels and quickly unwraps the cloth.

And then... his eyes widen. It’s not a baby....it’s just a pillow. His entire face changes. His jaw tightens. His eyes burn with fury. His hands clench into fists as rage rises in him like fire. He turns to look at her again, his face now filled with pure anger

He grabs her by the neck and lifts her slightly from the ground, choking her with both hands. His veins pop out on his arms, and his teeth clench tightly. The woman’s face turns red, her breath caught in her throat, but still still...she doesn’t panic.

Instead, she stares into his eyes with a smirk. A small, cold smile. A smile that says she’s not afraid. She can die right here, right now… and she won’t care. Because whatever he’s looking for… She’s already hidden it And he’s too late

"Vo baccha hai"

(Where is that baby)

He scream loudly feeling anger running in his veins seeing that the baby is not here, she stare at him with a smirk not having a single fear in her eyes

"Tu kabhi uss bacche ko nahi dhundh paaega, teri to aukaad bhi nahi hai ki tu uss bacche ko chu sake"

(You will never be able to find that child, you don't even have the capability to touch that child)

She spat on his face making him click his tongue in anger, he make his hold tightened around her hair as he pull her closer to him with a smirk on his face and said

"Mai uss bacche ko dhundh lunga aur usse jaan se maar dunga"

(I'll find that baby and kill him)

"Tu usse kabhi nahi maar paega Samraat Singh Shekhawat....tere jaese do kaudi ke guard ki koi aukaad nahi hai ki tu ek Rajkumar ko maar sake

Ham bhul gae the ki.... Rishta hamesha barabari vaalo ke bich hota hai aur tum... Kabhi hamaari barabari nahi kar sakte...do kaudi ke saenik ho tum aur kuch nahi"

(You will never be able to kill him Samraat Singh Shekhawat... A guard like you has no status that you can kill a prince

I had forgotten that... relationship always happens between equals and you... can never be equal to us... you are a mere soldier nothing else)

His eyes darkened after hearing her words who said those words without even caring that how much it hurted him, he slapped her hard making her laugh darkly as she said

"Marega to tu samraat singh shekhawat.... Vo baccha teri maut hai... Adhiraj teri maut bankar aaega...tere pure khandaan ko barbaad kar dega vo"

(You will die Samrat Singh Shekhawat.... That child is your death... Adhiraj will bring death to you... He will destroy your entire family)

He slightly chuckle after hearing her words Who don't have anything in his eyes for her except hate, he pull her closer to him making her stare at him with a dark expression than he said

"Mai tumse bahut pyaar karta hu lekin tumne kabhi mujhse saccha pyaar nahi kiya na. Mai tumhe rani banana chahta tha lekin tum.... Tumne mujhe hi itna dard diya

Mai tumhe marte hue nahi dekh sakta...aarna kyuki pyaar ho tum meri"

(I love you a lot but you never loved me truly. I wanted to make you my queen but you... you gave me so much pain

I can't see you dying... because you are my love)

He start kissing her making her froze on her place as he stabbed her with the knife on her stomach making a groan left her mouth, he hugged her tightly and continue stabbing her making tears stream down from her eyes

She softly smile remembering all the memories she lived with him, the memories which always made her happy. Samraat had a blank expression until she wishper her last words in his ears

"I was pregnant with your baby"

Samraat eyes widened in shock after hearing her words, he look at her who is smiling slightly while tears stream down from her eyes. He look at his man and shout loudly

"Start the fucking car"

He pick her up walking towards the car but froze on his place when her hand fall down as he stare at her who died in his arms The night is cold and quiet now. Smoke still rises from the burning trees in the distance

The man falls to his knees, holding the woman’s lifeless body tightly in his arms. Her head rests against his chest, her long hair messy and her saree stained with blood. Her face is still, her eyes closed forever. She doesn’t breathe anymore

Tears stream down the man’s face as he looks at her. His hands tremble, and his lips quiver as he whispers her name again and again, hoping somehow she would answer but she doesn’t. She can’t. His heart feels like it’s breaking inside his chest.

She was the woman he loved the most. And today… he killed her with his own hands. His arms wrap around her tightly, refusing to let go. His shoulders shake, and for the first time in his life, the powerful, fearless man who burned down kingdoms… cries like a helpless child

Memories flash in his mind her smile, her laughter, the way she used to look at him with soft eyes. The way she used to beg him to stop choosing violence. To choose love

His guards stand silently behind him. None of them speak. One by one, they lower their heads and slowly kneel down. Even they can feel the pain in the air. The man lets out a broken cry, loud and painful, like a roar from his soul

“Why I gave you everything, I destroyed the world for you"

He did. He burned the entire kingdom, turned cities into ashes.... just for her happiness. Just to make a place where she could live safely, freely, with him. But she never wanted power.

She never wanted a ruined kingdom. She just wanted peace. And when she couldn’t get that....she chose to die instead of staying with him. Now, she lies silent in his arms, and he is left with nothing

Not even forgiveness. Only her lifeless body… and the fire inside him that can no longer be controlled. Tonight, he didn’t lose a war. He lost her. And with her, he lost himself

The Mercedes moves smoothly on the silent road, its headlights glowing softly in the early morning light. Inside the car, everything is calm almost peaceful. The man sits behind the wheel, his hands steady as he drives

But his eyes often glance at the rearview mirror, drawn again and again to the sight behind him. His wife sits in the back seat, wearing a beautiful royal saree that glows softly under the light. Her earrings sway gently as she moves, and a smile lights up her face a real, warm smile

Her eyes are fixed on the tiny baby in her arms, whom she cradles like the most precious thing in the world. Her fingers move slowly over his soft cheeks, and she gently hums an old lullaby, lost in the moment

For a second, the man forgets he’s driving. His heart feels warm full. After five long years of marriage, filled with silence, pain, and distance… this is the first time he sees his wife truly smiling

Not out of formality, not to hide sadness but because her heart is full. And the reason for her happiness is lying quietly in her arms... a baby who suddenly came into their lives like a whisper of hope

His thoughts drift back to the night before. That woman… the one who gave them this baby. She was weak, her clothes torn, blood on her hands and feet. Her voice was shaking, but her eyes were full of determination

She held out the newborn with trembling arms and begged them begged them to take the child far away. To protect him. To save his life. And with the baby, she gave them a small pendrive, tightly wrapped in cloth, hidden with care.

"Aap isse le jaiye, vo isse maar dega...iss bacche ko jina hoga...."

(You take him from here, he will kill him... this child has to live....)

The man could never forget the look in her eyes fear mixed with hope. Her body was bruised and weak, her breaths slow, but all she cared about was the baby. Her condition made it clear she had run far, escaped danger, maybe even death, just to give this child a chance to live

He looks at the baby again through the mirror. The little boy is now sleeping peacefully in his wife’s arms, unaware of the danger he was born into. Unaware of the woman who gave her life just to keep him safe

The man’s grip on the steering wheel tightens. He doesn’t know who the child really is. Or why people are after him. But one thing is clear this baby has brought a new life into theirs. A silent promise is made in that moment.

No matter what happens… He will protect him. And so will she

"Aapko kya lagta hai...ye baccha kaun hai"

(What do you think...who is the baby)

Devaki softly wishper while staring at the small baby boy in her arms, after hearing so much painful words from the doctor that she can never be pregnant... Feeling this baby in her arms make her feel....blessed

"Jo bhi hua vo bhul jao, ye baccha hamara hai"

(Forgot whatever have happened, this child is ours)

He softly said while staring at the pendrive near his hand which is given by that woman to him, he knows that she gave her life to save this smile child that's why she didn't wanted to go with them

"Aaj se tum mere bete ho....adhiraj rawat... Chandravarta ka Rajkumaar"

(From today you are my son....Adhiraj Rawat... Prince of Chandravarta)

She said with a smile as she kissed his forehead who smile and start moving his legs making her chuckle, the man told them that his name is...adhiraj... A man born to take vengeance

The morning sun shines softly over the land, but there is no warmth left in this place. The once beautiful mansion now stands in ruins. The grand walls are black with soot, the roof is half fallen, and expensive things that once filled the halls gold frames, silk curtains, crystal lights are now nothing but ashes

The smell of smoke still hangs in the air. Not a single sound can be heard, except the slow footsteps of a man walking into the burnt mansion. His eyes move around slowly, taking in the destruction

His shoes crush broken glass and burnt wood as he steps deeper inside. Everything is gone. Everything is ruined. He walks into a large room once full of life and laughter now filled with silence and death

And then he sees them...Skeletons. Burned bodies. So many, lying across the floor. Some were holding each other. Some were close to the door, as if they had tried to escape making his chest tightens

He looks away, but something catches his eye... one body, lying alone near the back of the room. It’s half covered in ashes, but something shiny glows in the sunlight. He walks slowly toward it, his heart beating fast. As he gets closer, he sees it clearly a pendant hanging around the burnt neck

Somehow, the fire didn’t melt it. The chain is blackened, but the pendant shines... untouched, like it’s holding a memory. His hands shake as he bends down. His fingers gently touch the pendant

And in that moment, he knows....it’s her. Tears stream down his cheeks, falling silently onto the ashes. His heart burns with pain, worse than any fire. He holds the pendant in his hand, pressing it against his forehead, as if hoping to feel her again even for a second

"Kaash tumhe mujhe chuna hota to aaj tum Zinda hoti...samaira"

(If only you had chosen me then you would have been alive today...samaira)

The mansion is quiet, but his silent pain screams louder than any sound as all those memories with her come in his mind making him cry badly thinking about the woman whom he love the most

The sky is covered with grey clouds. The wind is silent, and everything feels heavy like the world itself is mourning. In the middle of the cremation ground, a wooden pyre is ready. Flowers are placed around it, and in the center lies her lifeless body

She is wrapped in a white cloth, her face calm, as if she’s sleeping peacefully. But this sleep will never end. Samraat Singh Shekhawat stands in front of her, his eyes red, his clothes stained with dust and ash

His hands are shaking as he holds a small box of red vermillion the sindoor that a husband fills in his wife’s hair. The priest watches him closely, confused and scared. Everyone knows the truth....Samraat killed her with his own hands

But now… he is here, at her funeral. Not as a killer. Not as a king. But as a broken man. He steps closer to her. His heavy boots crush the dry flowers on the ground. He kneels beside her body and gently brushes her hair back from her forehead

Then, with trembling fingers, he takes a pinch of sindoor and slowly fills the parting of her hair. The red color stands out brightly against her pale skin. Gasps are heard from behind. The priest's eyes widen in shock

He has never seen a man do this especially not after causing the death of the woman he loved. But he doesn’t say anything. He knows better than to speak when Samraat’s eyes hold that kind of pain

Samraat places the sindoor box beside her head and stands up. His legs feel weak, but he forces himself to move. He takes the fire stick from the priest, not waiting for any prayers or rituals. Without a word, he walks to the pyre and lights the wood

The fire catches quickly. Flames rise around her body, crackling loudly in the quiet air. The white cloth begins to burn. The flowers turn to ash. Slowly, her body disappears into the fire

Samraat doesn’t move. He just stares at the flames, tears streaming down his face. His jaw tightens, his fists clench, but he doesn’t speak. His heart is burning inside, much like the fire in front of him

“I wanted to be the king of hell,” he whispers under his breath. “But she… she chose heaven”

He looks up at the sky as the smoke rises, carrying her soul far away from him. She chose freedom. She set herself free from his power, his pain, his world. She went to a place where he can never reach her… not with fire, not with force, not even with love

And all that remains with him now…is silence, regret, and ashes
